GLUE review: “Just beautiful.”
My personal mission in life is to help others live the life of the imagination. I hope to inspire my friends and colleagues to do great work, to go beyond what they thought were their limits, and to make art that surprises even themselves.
So it’s a great pleasure to find that Available Light’s work has created inspiration in unlikely places – like a review of one of our shows, in this case, Glue.
But that seems to be what happened. It’s not usually kosher to comment on the content of our reviews, good or bad. We’re usually pretty indifferent, and that’s how it should be. But it really was a treat to click the link to Lisa Much’s piece about Glue on the Columbus Underground website, and find that it starts not with a pithy summation of her thoughts about the work, rather with a personal story from her own life.
Thanks for sharing, Lisa Much. Seriously. I’m moved by your willingness to make yourself vulnerable like this, especially given the context. I’m glad that Glue moved you, and even more glad that it moved you to write.

featuring the sounds of The Saturday Giant
We’re very lucky to have cool friends like Phil Cogley AKA The Saturday Giant. You may have seen Phil perform with us at The Food Play. Alas, he’s currently on tour to every nook and cranny of the country, and isn’t able to join us in person, but he was kind enough to loan us a song to perform in Glue.
This video is a great introduction, and be sure to check out his website for more music and tour dates. (Hint: He plays Columbus on december 13.)
