MAX GLENN is an interdisciplinary theatre-maker, poet, scholar, and corn fed country boy from the Missouri/Iowa border. He first came to the theatre in hopes of spending time with a high school crush, but found a life long pursuit instead.
Informed by his experiences as a first generation college student and scholar, an outreach worker in rural Kentucky and Liverpool, England, Max seeks to create and be a part of work that engages with communities on the fringe. As a result of this work his experiences are eclectic: a dramaturg for Ohio State’s There is No Silence; an Oral Historian of the Kansas City Fringe Festival; a Columbus playwright; and a performer of Shakespeare for Franklin County youth.
Most recently, Max just finished his Masters in Theatre Arts at The Ohio State University where he began a landmark oral history study of The Neo-Futurists of Chicago. He’s the first graduate of OSU’s theatre department to finish The Graduate Interdisciplinary Specialization in Fine Arts (GISFA) in over a decade.
In the day time hours, Max is usually slinging coffee, teaching people about theatre, or working on his handstands.
