Michelle Whited serves as Operations Manager and is a Company Member for Available Light Theatre. She has worked locally as a costume designer, props master, stage manager, and actor with various companies for more than a decade. When she’s not working on a show, Michelle juggles administrative and creative tasks for Available Light. She designs marketing materials, writes a lot of thank you notes, plans events, and frequently bakes cupcakes in celebration of our sponsors.
Michelle holds a BFA in Visual Communication Design, but attributes her mother, Karen, as the source of all her creative skill (including her sewing ability). Karen was also Michelle’s Girl Scout troup leader for 13+ years, culminating in Michelle earning the highest honor in Girl Scouting, The Gold Award (equivalent to the more widely known rank of Eagle Scout in Boy Scouting.)
On breaks from AVLT, Michelle can be found crafting pretty little treasures out of vintage buttons and selling them at craft shows all over Ohio. She loves sewing, buttons, baking, camping, cooking (especially over a campfire,) and exploring Ohio’s gorgeous bike trails.
