
RUDY FRIAS was born and raised here in Columbus, Ohio. A proud graduate of Linden McKinley High School, he attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio and graduated with a B.F.A. in Theater.
After college, Rudy worked in Cleveland for two years with Great Lakes Theater Festival in their Actor- Teacher program, which takes classic works to area schools. He also appeared in their 2005 Fall Rep of Amadeus and As You Like It. While in Cleveland, Rudy worked with Ohio Shakespeare Festival, Cain Park School for The Arts, and The Cleveland Playhouse. He later worked in New York with Folding Chair Theater and Jacksonville University.
Since returning home in 2008 Rudy has worked with many local theater companies. Some of his favorite roles include Matthew in The Rubenstein Kiss, George in All My Sons, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, Richard in Richard III, and Charlie in The Foreigner, which earned him a Jebby Nomination for Best Lead Actor in 2012.
Rudy currently works at High Point Elementary School in Gahanna. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family and dominating trivia nights throughout Columbus.
