Whitney Thomas Eads graduated Summa Cum Laude from Hope College (B.A. Theatre-Acting/Directing) and since then she has been blessed to find an artistic home in the Columbus theatre community. Her Available Light acting credits include: The Christians, She Kills Monsters, Dirty Math 2016, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, DOMK, and Sleeper. Whitney’s AVLT directing credits: The Ohio State Murders, Queens of the Ring, 24Hr Thtr 2015. She has also performed with CATCO (Evil Dead, Peter and the Wolf, Charlotte’s Web, COSI’s Titanic Exhibition), Phoenix Theatre for Children (The Story of Babar), and Whistling in the Dark Theatre Co. (Bat Boy: The Musical). Whitney has also choreographed shows and pieces for Hope College Theatre, Hope Summer Repertory Theatre, Phoenix Theatre for Children, The Wellington School, and The Columbus Academy.
Whitney has also had an active role in educational outreach through the arts. She has collaborated as an artist educator with such organizations as CATCO is Kids (Columbus, OH), VSA Ohio (Columbus, OH), Junior Players (Dallas, TX), Creative Action (Austin, TX), and Ohio Alliance for Arts Education (Columbus, OH). She also served as Assistant Director for Big Thought’s Creative Solutions (Dallas, TX), a program designed to provide work experience through the arts to at-risk and on-probation teens. Whitney continues to develop new theatre arts curriculum, teach residencies, and explore new avenues of education through performance.
